Today is Palm Sunday! Kevin is under the table of labels and pens at church creating his nametag.
Kevin Byron Faulkner!
Kevin was upset about leaving Grandma to go to his churchtime class, but Grandma did not want to miss the sermon! Our new rector is a fabulous preacher/teacher! The key which finally worked for Grandma to leave him in class was I prayed with him. When I returned to pick him up, he was ecstatic! They had learned to make crosses from palm leaves! He had made several and took extra palms home to teach Grandma and to make more.
He arranged most of them into this vase --
We left church and headed for The Easter Bunny Brunch at The National Club. The weather today is a mixture of rain and snow!
The party began with an Easter Egg Hunt.
After all the eggs were found, the children could exchange their basket of eggs for a prize.
The brunch buffet was lined with fabulous, creative foods with a giant version of our egg tree in the center.
The Bunny went from table to table to greet the children.
Kevin took one of the marzipan chicks.
But his favorite dessert was the chocolate fountain!!!
When it was time for the magic show, Kevin managed to get a front row seat!
He was chosen as an assistant for a magic trick. But after hearing what it was -- placing his finger inside a little guillotine, he decided he did not want to be a part of that trick! I don't blame him.
An older girl did it, and managed to go home with her fingers in tact! Thank heavens!
The final trick ended with a large bunny in a cage which had held a bird! The children were allowed to come on the stage, one by one, and pet the bunny. I missed the perfect shot as someone walked between the camera and Kevin as he had his turn to pet the bunny.
After our supper, we colored some eggs.
Then we read several Easter stories at bedtime.
Oh my gosh, ... I LOVE that first pic of Kevin and the Easter Bunny!!! : )
