Kevin Arrives for Spring Break

Grandma had all our Easter decorations out ready for Kevin to decorate our house! We started with the Egg Tree.

He did a great job -- wouldn't you say?!
We pulled out the Resurrection Eggs (http://ninasgrandchildren.blogspot.com/2010/03/art-and-egg-day.html)also and went through the container from #1 to #12 examining the object within each egg and reading the verse describing it. It is a fabulous way to teach children about the events leading up to the crucifixion and after.

The time between Grandma's visits with Kevin seem to coincide with the timing for a haircut! LOL So off we went. This kids' haircutter has video stations for haircutting plus tantalizing toys to tease parents or grandparents to buy.

Kevin came without dress shoes, so that was our next stop.

While at the mall, Grampa wanted to check out the pet store. We saw adorable puppies, kitties, beautiful birds, and a precious bunny!!!

After dinner, we went to see "Hop." Kevin thought it was hysterical. Grandpa and Grandma both dozed off a few times. I told Kinga and Steve they can be grateful they won't have to sit through it!

  1. We LOVE our resurrection eggs (and the Miss Patty Cake episode that goes with them, too). I loved them so much, I made 18 (instead of 12), ... wanted to get to a few more specifics. It remains the absolute BEST way to teach the kids about the most important thing that ever happened! And I am SOOO interested in your thoughts about "Hop." I am concerned about a few things I've seen in the previews. What are your thoughts about it?
