Grandma Arrives in TX

And it is COLD!!!! 66 degrees!!!! I was hoping for 90 like they have had, though weather reports were in the 80s. They were all loving the coolness, whileI froze all day!!! I didn’t bring warm enough clothes!

I received wonderful floppy hugs from Kien! Gabe was happy to see me, but not thrilled with me holding him.

At home, we had some backyard playtime. Jeremy wound Kien up for extra thrills.

Greg constructed a playhouse for the boys, though not finished off. Even Jeremy likes it! But he does things Grandmas don’t like to see – trying to jump from rooftop to trampoline and visa versa. :\

Gabe is not a swingin’ kinda guy. He likes the slide.

As I was looking at Gabe’s face in the car coming back from the airport, I noted he favors not only Aunt Karin and Grampa Grant, but all three of them inherited resemblances to Great Grandma Walsh! Plus Great Grandma Walsh had red hair! Gabe’s hair has a vague red tint, but not enough to call it red hair. Except in these pictures! It really looks red!

Mommy brought the bubbles out! The boys’ bubble blowing was much more successful than Grandma’s failed photography of catching the bubbles blown!

Jeremy wanted to show me his stunts on a bike. The first time, before camera was ready, he did a great show of standing on the rear pegs. The second stunt, with camera ready, was to be a wheelie, but it was an unfortunate wipe out. :\

Kien’s version of skateboarding.

The "boys" riding motorcycles!

Before dinner, we watched the air traffic at a private airport.

One plane did repeated “touch and gos.”

We went to a Mexican restaurant (my choice!). Brandy missed out on all our adventures. She was playing model for a neighbor practicing to be a photographer. Surely she would be a wonderful model!!!

Mommy showing Gabe a funny video on her iPhone.

Kien is very curious about Grampa being in China and how he is digging for gold.
Enjoying his dinner.
