New Year's or Christmas?

Kien is a hat man wearing both a paper crown and winter tuque.

Gabe and Kevin having fun together at breakfast!

During Kien and Gabe's naptime, Grandma and Kevin exercised on the trampoline.
Then Uncle Greg wanted us to see what he has done to his backyard workshop which was recently completed. Kevin was interested in ALL the tools and asked what some were. He learned about two kinds of saws Uncle Greg has and asked to see them work. Uncle Greg made a cut on a piece of trim to demonstrate.

I asked if he could make a few more cuts on the trim to create a puzzle for Kevin.

Kevin putting his puzzle together.

Kevin was quite enamored by Uncle Greg and his hobbies. He did not want to leave the shop, but Greg could not accomplish what he had hoped to if he had to keep an eye on a nephew when so many dangerous objects were within reach.

Grandma's boys climbed up on her for attention as well as Daisy

Gabe is not adverse to Grandma this time. So he came along for some loving too!

Greg took the boys out in the cul-de-sac for vehicle time. Kevin had a chance to drive the self-propelled Cadillac Escalade. Until Greg fixes it properly, he has to hold the wires together so that it will run! ha! Kevin LOVED it!!!!

And Gabe enjoyed his ride.

Meanwhile, Kien equally enjoyed riding the battery operated four-wheeler which is officially Gabe's.

Jeremy trying out his new rip-stick.

And Kevin moved on to riding Jeremy's scooter.

Gabe jumped on a motorcycle, but, by this time, his little hands were almost frozen!

After dinner, Kevin was given his Christmas gifts! Both were big hits!

We gave Greg a BB gun for Christmas when he was 12. Greg bought one for Jeremy last Christmas when he was 12, but they have had no suitable place to practice. Greg has created a safe shooting range with target box to collect the BBs in his backyard workshop.

Typical Texans: father and son at shooting practice!
