Kevin slept late. Guinness did not get a walk today, because Grandma and Kevin watched another Shirley Temple movie this morning -- "Little Princess." Again, he loved it. I have not watched any S.T. movies in years. Strange how the two that I happen to own are so similar in plot and characters: S.T. with only one parent, loses that parent, a crotchety old man, a mean woman, a young couple who love her, and a wicked child. The plot of one is about replacing her parents, and the plot of the second is finding her "lost" Dad. The fact that she has only one parent in both movies is certainly a point of connection for Kevin!
We spent at least two one and a half hour sessions working on our whale puzzle. His concentration and ability still amaze me!
This afternoon, we went to a bookstore for "Winnie the Pooh," and also bought three more Magic Treehouse books for the price of two. Then we made a stop at the library for books on how flowers make seeds and seed dispersal since these have been discussion topics while gardening (pollination by insects) and dog walking (burdocks) this past week.
Kevin's late rising put our meals on a strange schedule. He hardly had any appetite either time. We didn't eat dinner until almost 9:00, and I thought he was never going to stop eating! We read the first chapter of Winnie, and he begged for more, but it was too late.
