Living with the Heat

We went out with Grampa for a pastry this morning at a shop beside the tourist office. Kevin found lots of brochures of things he would like to see and do here. I learned about some cool things for us too.

On the way home, we went grocery shopping. I asked the pharmacist about Kevin's congested cough which began earlier this week. There are no other symptoms, but the cough does not sound good except it is loose. She recommended a cough expectorant. Hope it helps!

We had not watered the garden this morning, so had to do it in the heat of the day. Kevin always has fun with water.

Such a pretty day with a cute blond head against the deep blue sky.

We wanted to find something to do with Grampa indoors (away from the heat) and settled on going to see "Cars2."

Kevin enjoyed it, which I think is amazing. It was over Grandma's head. Actually, I had a nap! ha! Too much espionage and James Bond silliness. I thought Grant might have liked it because of all the adult humor and craziness, but he was not fond of it either. Not sure why kids would be attracted to it. It is nothing like the first one which was a fun kids' movie.

After dinner, Kevin and I practiced batting and catching balls. For never having done it before, he is picking up on it quite well! After a bath, we did some reading, and he now has three more books to turn in on his Summer Reading report.
