Play and Piano

Amazingly, Kevin awoke with NO pain in his thumb! I was expecting he would need another dose of Motrin. I asked him to press his two thumbs together to see if there was pain. None!

We talked to our local pharmacist for suggestions on how to bandage the thumb properly. He had more suitable products available than we could get at country drugstores in NY. However, we arrived home to discover the box of gauze strips was empty! Another trip to the store...

Aliyah is back from her stay with her other grandparents, and will be here the rest of the summer. They rode bikes together, and Aliyah came over to our house. Of course, Guinness ADORES her and snuggled up for some loving pets, and Kevin used him for a pillow.

The kids and grandmothers went to a splash park down the street. It was a hot day in the 80s, and Aliyah said the water made her too cold. LOL

Kevin is always looking for something unusual to climb. I've been through this before... with Greg! LOL

Kevin had his first piano lesson (right hand only due to left thumb!) this afternoon with an acquaintance of mine. It went pretty well. He was engaged in the lesson until towards the end when his brain was clearly on overload.

Tonight we had some baseball practice. Grampa was pitcher, Grandma was catcher, and Kevin was the batter. With his ailing thumb, he could not catch! Initially, he had all misses until he finally connected with the ball. Then he had occasional good hits. I had not worried about our windows before, but there was definite worry about windows tonight!!! He hit a few very good balls!
