He was still slightly shy coming in to VBS this morning, so I stayed a bit and took this picture of him singing (in the middle of the row).
Today's snack was an "octo-dog" -- a wiener sliced to have 8 "legs" and lying in green noodles representing seaweed.
Their story today was when a man came from his town to Jesus in another town. He begged Jesus to heal his son. Jesus told him to go home and his son was healed. Their craft was a 3 in 1 game set.
While having lunch on the deck, Kevin noted a squirrel sleeping on a high branch! I got out binoculars so that we could see him up close!
Kevin had fun splashing in the little pool and playing with the hose -- watering flowers and making rainbows.
We are working on many projects during free time. Playing piano (though Grandma has not given him much attention/help yet), learning to tell time on a clock, watching videos borrowed from the church and city public libraries, reading, playing catch and batting a ball, bike riding, and magic tricks. Plus there are so many more things we want to do...!!!! He wants me to find his Mommy's Smurfs in the attic and get out the dollhouse furniture (between Karin's and my dollhouses, I have five and furniture for all of them! And no young granddaughter... :\ ).
Like dog / like grandson.
I'd be happy to inherit / buy a dollhouse or two if you ever get to the place of wanting to find new homes for them.
